Under Consideration

Direct Funding The board has recognized the need for more programs that channel funds directly from membership dues and donations into accomplishing the BMTA core mission. All options are being considered at this time.

Road Walk Elimination Some members have pointed out the need to step up efforts to eliminate the remaining 10 miles of road walks on the BMT route. The highest priority areas are in north Georgia where development interests could buy up the suitable land and then exclude the trail. The board welcomes member input on this initiative, especially regarding priority and finding project leaders.
